About us....

 The Deni Reid Band are an unsigned band looking for a Publishing and Record deal. We are also looking for Manager / Promoter. If you are interested and can help, please contact us.

Deni has been writing music all his life and has been signed to major recording companies in the past. He had left that behind him for many years, but has now returned to writting music.

Our first abum was a Worship Album called 'Beat the Drum'. It was released on Saturday 29th March 2008, in Galashiels, Scotland. We have moved away from worship music and are currently working on more commercial music. We will keep you updated as this progresses. The following is a review of our first album....

Review by Paul Davis, New Christian Music. This is what he had to say;

 “Here some solid message-music for the common man, and it’s the best Brit band of its grassroots type that I have heard in many a year! The Deni Reid Band wonderfully captures street-life credibility via this Brit roots-gospel-rock! I’m sure their local fans will express a note of thanks for the release of this gem that is highly deserving of wide airplay.  Deni is a vocalist of quality, adding something uniquely special to the UK Christian music genre. Genuinely engaging, the free-wheeling Band from the England-Scotland border has innovative vocal skill and virtuosity. This most appealing offering is a definitive set of gospel straight -talk.  Kicking off with ‘Beat the Drum’, the happy-go-lucky project captures some diversity from the starting line to the finishing post. Along the way there’s some wonderful rich imagery laced with gospel passion backed by a winning instrumental combination”.

A newspaper article that appeared in the ‘Southern Reporter’ for the launch of the album featured the following;

 “Deni Reid's a man who's seen his priorities change several times in life. After becoming a Christian in 1990, the talented musician set about writing an album which would reflect the significant changes he had experienced. But in July last year (2007), while half way through recording and just days after a concert in Selkirk, he suffered a massive heart attack and found himself in intensive care fighting for his life.

But Deni survived and now, eight months on, he's launching his album, Beat the Drum, at a concert in Galashiels to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Described as being melodic but with a bit of a punch to it, the music is sure to entertain, but Deni is hopeful audiences will take away more than just the melodies from his songs”. - Mark Inchley (Southern Reporter)

Deni's influences are John Lennon and Paul McCartney, as well as Van Morrison and Elton John.
